In June 2015, Juarez & Associates was awarded a Task Order under our ABE-ACR Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract to conduct an Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) in Madagascar. The purpose of the Task Order is to carry out an EGRA to assess the reading skills of the 2014 cohort students who are completing Grades 2 and 5 in the public primary education system of Madagascar (Ecole Primaire), disaggregated by region. J&A will collaborate closely with the Ministry of National Education (MNE) throughout the project. The EGRA results will inform programming decisions and serve as a baseline for future similar assessments. The data collected will be essential to the Agency's ability to report to Congress on progress USAID is making towards its 2015 education goals. Furthermore it will provide a significant contribution to the broader stakeholder community working in Basic Education throughout Madagascar, including UNICEF and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE).
