Assessment of the Impact of the Safe Schools Program in Ghana and Malawi

August 2017by admin0

The objective of this task order was to create safe school environments for girls and boys that reduce school-related gender-based violence and promote gender-equitable relationships. Safe Schools piloted activities in two USAID-assisted countries to develop an approach or package of interventions targeting specific activities at the national, institutional, community and individual levels of society. Safe Schools was an activity directed at an aspect of gender issues in education that has been largely ignored in development assistance activities and literature. The project was piloting new methods and materials in Ghana and Malawi, maintaining offices and providing sub-grants to local groups.
